One way to find out about a mage's proficiency is to check how many spells are recorded in their spellbooks. However, this method proves useless for extraordinarily mages like the highly dangerous Amelia, who's officially recognized as a threat by the Magic Association. Her spellbook contains only one sentence—"I cast, therefore I am."

Born with an exceptional talent for observation and logical deduction, Amelia is highly gifted in the study of magic, having created many new spells of her own. In addition, she broke the record of being the youngest High Mage in the history of the Republic, and even acquired the knowledge of many forbidden spells from the Great Library. If it weren't for Amelia's questionable interests, she would have received the Distinguished Mage Award from the Magic Association long ago. A sky filled with fireballs, the roaring of cannons, the screams and war cries echoing around the battlefield, and the trenches filled with the stench of rotten flesh and smoke... Amelia, who sees all these as beautiful and yearns for them with all her heart, is feared as a walking disaster by the Magic Association, and thus deliberately shunned and distanced. However, she doesn't care what the others think, for she believes that one day, she will eventually meet the right person.
