Story

Shangguan Jing'er is one of the Three Grands of the Shenxiao Empire, holding the position of the Grand Chancellor, with the authority to oversee and impeach officials. She is highly intelligent and astute in governmental affairs. Since entering the court, she has been deeply trusted by the late emperor and has accompanied Crown Prince Xiang Ming as his guardian. Shangguan Jing'er treats Xiang Ming like a younger brother. Before the late emperor's passing, to prevent his only son from being manipulated by powerful lords and relatives, he appointed Shangguan Jing'er as the Grand Chancellor, granting her significant power to assist the emperor in handling state affairs and overseeing all officials. Despite occasional murmurs of discontent within the court about a woman wielding such power, no one dares openly oppose her due to her adept political maneuvers.
