However, Yang Ziyun knows nothing of these rumors. To her, that is just a handy weapon she happened to stumble upon in the imperial armory. She neither cares about its origin nor is she keen on fighting battles. She cares even less whether she lets it gather dust. She simply wants to use the weapon His Majesty has bestowed upon her on the battlefield. Yang Ziyun is the Grand General of the Shenxiao Empire. She is an outstanding commander who not only possesses extraordinary martial arts skills but is also well-versed in military tactics. Despite her talents, she strongly dislikes troubles. She has little interest in power or rank and only does the bare minimum required to fulfill her superiors' orders most of the time. This dismissive attitude earns Yang Ziyun a great deal of criticism and hostility, yet her position remains utterly unshakable, even tending to rise higher. The main reason is that whenever an order comes directly from Emperor Xiang Ming, she carries it out with immense enthusiasm, willing to lay down her life without a second thought. However, few realize that her almost fanatical loyalty stems from a specific preference.
